    CORE Scholars is holding RISE Scholarship Information Sessions in January and February. The scholarship is a need-based savings program, which offers students and parents up to $4000.00 in scholarship money in exchange for saving $500.00 of income. *Family income may not exceed 200% of the federal poverty guidelines for the applicant’s family size.

    The sessions will be held at 8 Penn Center, in the Lower Level Conference room, 1628 JFK Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19103:
    Friday, January 30th, 4:00pm to 5:00pm.
    Friday, February 13th, 4:00pm to 5:00pm
    Friday, February 27th, 4:00pm to 5:00pm

    Keystone First Member Scholarship Program
    Keystone First Member Scholarship Program allows Keystone First members, who have completed 12th grade or obtained a GED by June 2015, to apply for scholarship dollars to help fund their college tuition. The amount of the scholarship isn’t normally disclosed until the final application count has been determined, it is usually a nice amount.

    2015 O. Wilson Winters Memorial Scholarship Program
    For High Schools Seniors and 1st 3 years of College Students. (Geared toward males)

    The following is the information that describes the scholarship. Thanks for your assistance. We want to cover as many of the High Schools, and Charter High Schools in the city (of Philadelphia) as possible, as well as any other Educational Institutions.

    Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated is among the oldest and most loyal investors in higher education in the United States. The fraternity began as a study group of Black men who defied racial segregation at Cornell University in 1906. Its concepts for community advancement and inclusion in higher education have created 692 chapters throughout the U.S., Africa, West Indies, Europe, Asia and the Virgin Islands. The Fraternity has been interracial since 1945, and over 175,000 Brothers have bonded to advance its ideals and precepts. In alignment with the fraternity’s aim of “manly deeds, scholarship and love for all mankind”, the Rho Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha is proud to announce its 2015 Scholarship Program. Geared toward African-American men, the Rho Chapter Scholarship Program seeks young men from the greater Philadelphia Region who will be matriculating at an institution of higher education in the Fall 2015 term and whose aspirations align with the fraternity’s aims.


    All applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 grading scale. If GPA is reported on a different scale other than a 4.00 scale, you are required to have the GPA converted by a school official. Official documentation must be provided. All high school and college applicants are eligible to receive a scholarship up to $1,000. Members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. are eligible to receive a scholarship up to $1,200.
